First Church ChoirsSANCTUARY CHOIR This choir is open to anyone who loves to sing! No auditions are required. The choir sings anthems and leads the hymns for the 9:00 a.m. service and usually sings two-three weeks per month performing a variety of music. We rehearse each Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the choir room located on the second floor just above the Narthex. WESLEY CHORALE The Wesley Chorale is a select vocal ensemble of twelve to fifteen voices mainly performing a cappella music. The Chorale sings twice each semester; rehearsal schedule will be announced. Auditions are required to join this group. Contact Susan Finger for more information. KING’S MEN An all male vocal ensemble, the King’s Men focuses mostly on gospel and barbershop style of music. King’s Men sing once or twice a semester and the rehearsal schedule will be announced. First Light Praise Band This group of singers and musicians provides the praise and worship music for the 11:10 a.m. Sunday modern worship service. If you are interested in being part of this group, contact Steve Thomas through the church office to discuss an audition and interview. The First Light Praise Band rehearses each Wednesday in the modern worship area from 6:45—8:30 p.m. Musical Offering The musical offering enriches worship and provides an opportunity for you to reach others for Christ through your musical gifts. Your musical offering can be via instrument or voice. Please consider sharing your gifts for the glory of the Lord! Contact either Susan Finger for traditional service information or Steve Thomas for modern service information through the church office. Handbells Musical experience is not required to be a ringer. Grades 3 and 4 play hand bells; grades 5-12 play the chimes. There is a weekly rehearsal from September through December, each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m..
