
Rev. Jeff Taylor
Rev. Jeff Taylor came to
Anderson
First United
Methodist
Church
on July 1, 2009, after serving as Senior Pastor of St. Mark’s United Methodist
Church in Decatur for the past nine years.
He and his wife Brenda have served United Methodist
churches in North Indiana since 1989.
Prior to his time in the Methodist Church,
Jeff’s experience included a lengthy tenure as Minister to Students at First
Baptist
Church in Elgin, Illinois,
as well as ten years in the building industry.
Jeff holds degrees in Biblical Studies and Psychology, and
completed his Master of Divinity degree at Christian Theological
Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While there he had particular interest in the field of Theology
and was awarded the William R. Duffy Prize in Systematic Theology.
He and his wife Brenda have been married for thirty six years and
have two daughters, Alicia and Brooke.
Alicia, husband Ryan, and grandson, Gus, live in
Indianapolis, and Brooke, husband Seth, and
granddaughter Rowan live in Ft. Wayne.
Jeff and Brenda have enjoyed traveling in recent years, love
music, and enjoy time at their cabin in
Tennessee.
When Jeff has the chance he likes to fly fish and work with his
bird dog, Dizzy (Gillespie).
The Taylors are looking
forward to becoming a part of the communities of Anderson and of First United
Methodist
Church.
