Grief Recovery Workshops
NEW SERIES BEGINS:

Church, 12th and Jackson in
Anderson, will begin a six week workshop
series on Grief Recovery on TBA, from
6:00pm-8:00pm in the church parlor, located on the first floor.
The sessions will be held each Wednesday evening through April.
The series is facilitated by Pastor Donna Goings.
The series is open to those who have suffered a loss through
death. There is no charge
to attend. If you know
someone who would benefit from the sessions or if you wish to obtain
more information, please contact Pastor Donna Goings in the church
office (643-6977).
Registration is required, as space is limited.
A Message from Pastor Donna:
G.R.O.W. (Grief Recovery on the Way) is one of the ministries of
First UMC I oversee. Ellen Rhoades initiated this ministry, and today
almost 200 individuals have participated in it. The semiannual workshop
series has an excellent
reputation in the community for assisting those who have lost loved ones
to death. As a participant myself, I thank you and I know the others
also do for providing such a ministry for us.
This may be surprising to you, but one of the most difficult parts of
handling our grief is people! Our friends and co-workers want to love
and support us during our grief journey, but
