The Power of PrayerThe Prayer Warriors of First Church gather to meet every Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the conference room downtown. For information please contact the church office.Prayer is primary; all things flow from it. It is a union with God; honest, open dialogue between you and God, a communion. It is responding to God’s presence by our openness to receive, with a progressive intensified awareness of Him, a personal response to the presence of God.LOVE:Love is learning to receive His divine love, and remain in the love
of God while loving others. It is not just PRAYER CHANGES THINGS:“You can do more than pray AFTER you have prayed, but you cannot do
more than pray UNTIL you have prayed.” PRAYER CHANGES THE PRAY-ER:We must first align ourselves with the will of God, and so we need to
bend ourselves anew to the will of God each time we pray. God’s will,
not ours, is the first thing we need to concentrate on. Ask Him to show
us His will for us. Our church calls us to bring our prayers, our
attendance, Can we do anything less? |
