Women Alive in Faith
Women Alive in Faith are special events occurring four
times a year. All women are encouraged to participate.
Programs are interesting, informative, and provide insight into the
organization of United Methodist Women, its purpose and goals.

Women Alive In Faith Brunch Series
All women are
invited to come and share a beautiful morning together as we gather
together to chat, sing, and laugh with one another. We will have a
light brunch and a presentation from our special guest speaker.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with our program beginning
at 9:45 a.m. You are encouraged to pre-register.

programs are held at Davis Park which is located at 4507 Nichol
Avenue (on the corner of S.R. 32 & Layton Road) in west Anderson
(Edgewood, IN) Bring a friend with you and come enjoy a wonderful
morning together with an old friend and perhaps make a new friend or
two.

The United
Methodist Women and Women Alive in Faith Committee invite you to
brunch Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 9:30 a.m at Davis Park (4507
Nichol Avenue). The suggested donation, to cover the cost of the
meal, is $6 per person which will be collected at the door. This
presentation is open to all persons, men and women. Childcare
is available upon request.
Our special guest
is Michael Mbito, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Family
Science Department Director at Anderson University. Dr. Mbito is
fluent in three languages—English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu. Dr. Mbito
will discuss HIV/AIDS and it’s impact on child development in
Sub-Sahara Africa. We’ll learn three key factors in HIV Infection
and learn about the work being done by churches and international
mission groups dealing with HIV/AIDS in Africa. Dr. Mbito is founder
of Child Aid Africa—a ministry for the support of HIV/AIDS
orphan education in Africa and is currently leading a mssion to
Kenya to recruit the first group of orphans to be support by CAA
(Child Aid Africa).

Church and churches world wide. Come listen to the story behind the
stitches.

Come enjoy a
delicious brunch, make new friends and enjoy an enlightening program
presented by our very own Pastor Donna K. Goings. Pastor
Donna, associate pastor at Anderson First United Methodist Church
and R.N. has had the opportunity to travel to South America and
visited the country of Peru on two separate occasions.
Pastor Donna will share about her experiences in the city
of........... We'll learn about her proximity to the recent
quake and whether it affected the city she visited.
The suggested cost
is $6 per person which will be collected at the door. We
invite you to bring items to be contributed towards the Midwest
Mission Trip scheduled in October 2007.

(in original wrapper - no multiple packs please)
1 Tube of
Toothpaste (4.5 oz or larger, in original wrapper. Check
expiration dates - must be at least six
months.)
6 Adhesive
Bandages (Band-aids; no pictures, regular size and wrapped in a
rubber band)
