Weekend Worship Schedule

•Sunday 9:00 am – “Traditional Service”  This service meets in our Sanctuary.  This service embraces the beauty and richness of church tradition with pipe organ, choir, and hymns. Although the pastors and choir will be in robes, you are welcome to come as you are. You will see people in 3-piece suits and casual jeans. All are welcome. Communion is taken on the first Sunday of the month.   (Enter Sanctuary through North/West Entrance) (60 minutes)

• Sunday 11:10 am – “Modern Service” This worship service  meets on the lower level in our specially designed "Modern Worship Center."  (This space is new to us and still under development)  The lighting has been lowered to enhance our worship experience.

You are free to worship in whatever way feels comfortable to you - sitting, standing, clapping, observing, eyes open or shut.  However you worship, come with an open heart.

We sing our praises to God as we're led by our Praise Team, First Light and Agape Singers.  We watch thought-provoking, sometimes fun and always relevant video clips.  Our pastors share the message with us in a way that everyone can understand.  We offer a staffed children's area within our worship center as well as in our Kid's activity center (room# G122).  We invite you to come worship with us and we encourage you to experience it two or three times.  This is definitely not your traditional worship experience!  Communion is taken on the first Sunday of the month.    (Enter through North /West Entrance) (45-60 minutes)

• Sunday 11:30 am (end of May until the beginning of September) – “Connections” If you would like to experience a smaller church while being a part of Anderson First, you will love this service! Join us for prayers, hymns and sermon in the North/South Parlor. Communion is taken on the first Sunday of the month.    (Enter through the center entrance off Brown/Delaware Street). (45 minutes)

• All worship services are held at our downtown facility except where noted.

Summer Worship Schedule
Memorial Day to Labor Day
(May 30, 2010 through September 5, 2010)

• Sunday 9:00 am – “Praise in the Park” Casual outdoor worship in a traditional format. (Davis Park) (60 minutes)

• Sunday  11:10 am – “Connections” If you would like to experience a smaller church while being a part of Anderson First, you will love this service! Join us prayers, hymns and sermon in the North/South Parlor (Center Entrance off Brown/Delaware Street). (45 minutes)

• Sunday 11:10 a.m. – “Ensemble” A more intimate modern worship experience with praise band, video and interactive practical message. A staffed children's area is available within the worship area.  (Enter through North /West Entrance) (45-60 minutes)

• Sunday 4:30 pm – “Community Café” Free community dinner with music at 4:30 p.m. followed by prayers and a short message. (30-45 minutes)

Anderson First United Methodist Church is located in downtown Anderson, Indiana. Our home is 1215 Jackson Street (across from the YMCA).

 

Davis Park is a facility of First United Methodist Church and is located in West Anderson (Edgewood, IN). We're on the corner of West State Road 32 & Layton Road or Map Quest us at 4507 Nichol Avenue.
